Miles Perry
Miles Perry (Pires) is a Boston-based visual artist with Cape Verdean roots, whose life journey is as dynamic and layered as his work. Having moved over 30 times, Miles has called cities like New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Cape Cod, Portland (Maine), and Boston home, and his travels have taken him across the globe—from Europe and South America to the Caribbean and beyond.
These rich and varied experiences are deeply embedded in his creative expression.
Drawing influence from a wide range of artists and cultures, Miles has developed a unique and versatile style he calls “Versalism.” Inspired in part by the legendary Miles Davis, jazz is a major force in his work—not just as a soundtrack, but as a philosophy of improvisation and emotional depth. A trumpet player himself, he seamlessly blends elements of hip-hop, jazz, basketball, music, and culture into his art, reflecting the rhythm and energy of urban life.
For Miles, art is everywhere—and everyone is a piece of it. His work celebrates originality, diversity, and the belief that each of us is a unique creation.
